Sensing that greater opportunities lay beyond the corporate suite, Kuehn left MGM to assume a partnership in a New York City editing boutique, Kaleidoscope Films, which emerged to become the pre-eminent trailer-house of the next three decades. During a career spanning more than 40 years, Kuehn oversaw the production of more than a thousand trailers while training, guiding and inspiring the next two generations of trailer makers.

In addition to operating a full-service trailer company, Kuehn wrote, directed and produced a score of short films, four documentaries and two feature length motion pictures.

Beyond his professional achievements, Andy Kuehn was renowned for his style, his charm, his conversation and his hearty appetite for life. A beloved member of the Hollywood community, Andy was politically active and socially prominent, respected for his knowledge and expertise and admired for his kindness and his generosity.
